The role of technology and media in education.

Today was my first EDET session for the semester. The topic for today was The Role of Technology and Media in Education. Before this class I had a different view of what technology was.

Our first task was to label everything in our bags that we considered to be technology. After an explanation from the teacher I came to understand that technological items were not just the electronics that I had. I learnt that anything in my environment that made my life easier was classified as technology. However, some technologies are more advanced and modern than others. So, even the pen and the notebook that I use in class are technology as is the computer that I am using to blog.

I will utilize the knowledge gained in my technology class to enhance the learning experience of all children I will have the opportunity to impart knowledge to in the future.
